the old porcelain factory
Porzellanikon Selb comprises three porcelain museums on an area covering 9,000 square metres: In the European Industrial Museum for Porcelain, old machinery, authentic workplaces and multimedia displays demonstrate how porcelain once used to be made. Porcelain and ceramics that are normally concealed from view are on show in the European Museum for Technical Ceramics. And in the Rosenthal Museum, the history of a world-renowned brand comes to life.

TC in every house...
A part of the Rosenthal factory has been especially restored for the “From a King’s Dream to Mass Production” exhibition and houses the second part of this celebratory event. Themed displays intriguing in their design show the versatility, diversity and modernity for which porcelain is famous.
